This is a customized tour organized only for ISIT 2024 participants. Depart with a private guide and bus to the National Archaeological Museum of Athens which was founded in 1893 and it is housed in a neoclassical building erected between 1866 and 1889. It is the largest museum in Greece, with its collections, numbering more than 11,000 exhibits, offering the visitor insight into the life and culture of the ancient Greek civilization from Early Prehistory to Late Antiquity. Among the highlights are the Mask of Agamemnon, the impressive mechanism of Antikythera, the bronze statue from Artemision, as well as the statues of Aphrodite of Syracuse, the Lady of Mycenae and the Dipylon Amphora.

After the Archaeological Museum you will head to Cape Sounion, by driving along the coastal road of the Athenian Riviera with spectacular views of the Saronic Gulf. Upon arrival, you will visit the Temple of Poseidon, founded in the fifth century B.C. and built on a 60-meter-high promontory surrounded by the sea. You will enjoy impressive views of the Aegean Sea from the ruins, having time to relax and take photos before the sun settles at around 20.45.
